Step 1: To take down the cooking time rinse thouroughly, and then saok overnight in a bowl with just enough water to cover the top.
Step 2: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil, add your presoaked black rice
Step 3: Turn the heat down and let simmer for about 25-30 min or until all the water is absorbed and the rice is a nice fluffy texture (will be less fluffy then traditional rice)
If you choose not to pre soak your rice, bring 3 cups of water to a boil and simmer for 50-60 minutes.
